We’re a collective of researchers, historians, activists, and truth-seekers who believe genocide studies deserve rigor, integrity, and global representation—not gatekeeping by pay-to-play clubs. Unlike certain “international” associations that hand out credentials like candy at a conference booth, we don’t do performative scholarship or revisionist history. We do facts. We do accountability. We do nuance.
GAGS stands for
- Truth over tenure: We prioritize evidence-based research, not academic clout or institutional politics.
- Global voices: Genocide isn’t a Western monopoly. We amplify scholars from underrepresented regions and communities.
- No fee-for-fraud: We don’t charge you to join just so we can ignore your work. We welcome contributors who care about truth, not titles.
- Cross-disciplinary collaboration: Historians, anthropologists, legal experts, survivors, artists—we want you all.
